GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Perform duties to support pre- and post-production activities. Initiate, prepare and generate a wide range of production related data, reports and support ongoing production and key metrics (KPI’s). Identify and coordinate production changes with planning to ensure a robust production schedule can be generated and executed. Work shall be performed within the limits of prescribed routines, GMP’s and ISO requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Initiate and release complete and accurate trace history records for all work orders.
- Track all orders from start to finish.
- Work with the Production Management Team to meet committed ship dates.
- Coordinate kitting requirements as required.
- Maintain Incoming Inspection Priorities to meet production needs.
- Assure accuracy of required materials and issue lot numbers as required.
- Account for variations in materials used. Reconcile all labeling.
- Ensure the availability of required manufacturing materials, parts, documentation, and supplies.
- Work closely with Supply Chain to identify material issues and collaborate with purchasing and planning to develop a plan to support production frozen schedule.
- Control inventory of work in process or finished goods in manufacturing areas.
- Prepare any range of production documentation and reports.
- Perform any range of general office routines as requested.
- Process daily production labor and send to be entered into operating system (Visual).
- Demonstrate a lean mindset and participate and support all lean initiatives as requested.
- Identify inefficiencies and support Lean, 5S, and Kaizen projects.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.
- Other production control activities as defined be Supervisor.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Preferred experience in Excel Spreadsheets, MS Word, and familiarity with manufacturing and inventory systems. Proficient in the use of computer systems and basic office equipment.
- Must possess good organizational skills.
- Possess excellent communication, reading and writing skills.
- Knowledge of GMP ‘s and ISO 9000 elements; Knowledge of manufacturing methods and practices, methods of maintaining efficient production, standards of operations, and preferred basic inspection methods.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Understanding of BOMs, routings, manufacturing workflows, and material flow.
- Knowledge of process improvement methods with experience leading lean initiatives preferred.
- Must be able to work proactively and independently.
- Must be dependable with reliable attendance history.
- Must be available for overtime when required.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is primarily performed in office/cubicle environment with good working conditions and frequent exposure to clean rooms and manufacturing areas.
- Frequent exposure to strong orders from solvents and bonding agents and little exposure to noise or heat.
- Physical effort is needed to move, lift, carry and pack products and materials.
- May be required to work overtime, scheduled work hours subject to change without prior notification.
