Production Control Coordinator

Location: Ormond Beach, FL

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: 

Perform duties to support pre- and post-production activities. Initiate, prepare and generate a wide range of production related data, reports and support ongoing production and key metrics (KPI’s). Identify and coordinate production changes with planning to ensure a robust production schedule can be generated and executed. Work shall be performed within the limits of prescribed routines, GMP’s and ISO requirements. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Initiate and release complete and accurate trace history records for all work orders.
  2. Track all orders from start to finish.
  3. Work with the Production Management Team to meet committed ship dates.
  4. Coordinate kitting requirements as required.
  5. Maintain Incoming Inspection Priorities to meet production needs.
  6. Assure accuracy of required materials and issue lot numbers as required.
  7. Account for variations in materials used.  Reconcile all labeling.
  8. Ensure the availability of required manufacturing materials, parts, documentation, and supplies.
  9. Work closely with Supply Chain to identify material issues and collaborate with purchasing and planning to develop a plan to support production frozen schedule.
  10. Control inventory of work in process or finished goods in manufacturing areas.
  11. Prepare any range of production documentation and reports.
  12. Perform any range of general office routines as requested.
  13. Process daily production labor and send to be entered into operating system (Visual).
  14. Demonstrate a lean mindset and participate and support all lean initiatives as requested.
  15. Identify inefficiencies and support Lean, 5S, and Kaizen projects.
  16. Recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and accuracy.
  17. Other production control activities as defined be Supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent required
  2. Preferred experience in Excel Spreadsheets, MS Word, and familiarity with manufacturing and inventory systems. Proficient in the use of computer systems and basic office equipment.
  3. Must possess good organizational skills.
  4. Possess excellent communication, reading and writing skills.
  5. Knowledge of GMP ‘s and ISO 9000 elements; Knowledge of manufacturing methods and practices, methods of maintaining efficient production, standards of operations, and preferred basic inspection methods.
  6. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  7. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced production environment.
  8. Understanding of BOMs, routings, manufacturing workflows, and material flow.
  9. Knowledge of process improvement methods with experience leading lean initiatives preferred.
  10. Must be able to work proactively and independently.
  11. Must be dependable with reliable attendance history.
  12. Must be available for overtime when required.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Work is primarily performed in office/cubicle environment with good working conditions and frequent exposure to clean rooms and manufacturing areas. 
  • Frequent exposure to strong orders from solvents and bonding agents and little exposure to noise or heat.
  • Physical effort is needed to move, lift, carry and pack products and materials.
  • May be required to work overtime, scheduled work hours subject to change without prior notification.
