GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager is responsible for oversight and management of new projects and products into Command Medical’s Quality System. This position will require analyzing customer inputs and new specifications for completeness, development of new project checklists and project plans independently and in conjunction with the Project Team along with leading the Project Review meetings. The Project Manger will be accountable for tracking progress on projects and updating the Project Team and Command Management team on ongoing activities pertaining to these projects. This tracking will be evident through routine and impromptu project meetings, documented meeting minutes and posted project schedules. In addition to Project Review Meeting oversight, this position will act as a liaison between Command and customers during the new product development and product launch in conjunction with the Sales Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS FOR PROJECT MANAGER
1. Perform preliminary review of customer inputs and documents for new products and/or changes to existing products for completion and accuracy.
2. Chair Project Review meetings in which the transfer of customer inputs and documents for new products and/or changes to existing products are introduced to the Project Team.
3. Review and complete Project Review checklists per applicable procedures.
4. Be responsible for the development and successful execution of project timelines and budgets for all new products and/or changes to existing products with input from Project Team. Post and maintain all meeting minutes and project schedules to the Project Team.
5. Communicate as necessary with all responsible departments to ensure that Command is tracking on schedule with posted project commitments. If a key milestone is not tracking towards plan, calls a project meeting so the Project Team may discuss options prior to slipping on the scheduled completion date. Escalates serious issues that will adversely affect the schedule and/or budget to Management before it is too late to resolve issue.
6. Work with the Sales Team to provide feedback and customer support on new product launches and/or changes to existing products.
7. Act as main liaison between customer and Command for new product launches and/or product changes.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AS PROJECT MANAGER
1. Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate new project activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals and resolve problems.
2. Provide technical support for new business bids in conjunction with Sales Team.
3. Attend customer site visits as necessary to support new business efforts.
4. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must have strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects/duties at one time.
2. Leadership ability and ability to build strong interpersonal relationships in order to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
3. Excellent communication skills to present the company’s position to different management team members, groups, employees and customers/prospects.
4. Must be able to work independently and lead a team in order to achieve project goals
5. Ability to handle multiple project at the same time and under pressure.
6. Good facilitation skills.
7. Some technical knowledge is desired in order to be able to understand issues and concerns.
8. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

9. Must be open to travel up to 5% as needed to support product launches. Must have a passport and/or clearance for obtaining a passport.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Four year college degree and/or a minimum of two years experience in project management in the medical or contract manufacturing industry.
2. Prior project management experience in the medical device development and/or manufacturing industry.
3. Thorough knowledge of FDA and ISO 13485: 2003 regulations.
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

PREFERRED
1. Solid understanding of process validation and PFMEA requirements as they relate to medical devices.
2. Experience in plastics processing, particularly: solvent bonding, adhesive bonding and RF welding.
3. Proficient in Solidworks, AutoCAD/TurboCAD software and ability to read blueprints and CAD specifications.
4. Engineering degree and/or 5+ years of medical device engineering and/or medical device project management.
5. Prior experience with medical device design controls.
6. Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus.

Good working conditions (office area) and some travel to prospects/clients as necessary.
